Responsibilities
- Overseeing day-to-day activities on the construction site.
- Ensuring construction work follows technical specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections to assess electrical infrastructure requirements.
- Review electrical designs, layouts, and single-line diagrams (SLDs) for solar projects.
- Supervise installation of solar panels, inverters, transformers, and switchgear.
- Ensure proper routing and installation of cables, conduits, and grounding systems.
- Oversee installation of electrical panels, protection devices, and metering equipment.
- Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure functionality.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Perform quality checks on electrical components and installation work.
- Coordinate with civil and mechanical teams for seamless project execution.
- Manage subcontractors and on-site labor for electrical installations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during construction and commissioning.
- Ensure proper implementation of lightning protection and earthing systems.
- Monitor energy performance and system efficiency post-installation.
- Implement safety measures for electrical work, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Maintain records of electrical tests, inspections, and system performance data.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for project stakeholders.
- Assist in handover documentation, including as-built drawings and operation manuals.
- Verifying material orders according to the design prior to the start of construction.
- Communicating with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project progress.
Our requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical installations, working on large-scale PV projects, preferably in Romania
- Knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, and switchgear.
- Good knowledge of electrical design software like AutoCAD, PVSyst
- English at the communicative level, Romanian language will be a plus
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of electrical wiring, grounding, and protection systems.
- Experience in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical components.
- Knowledge of national and international electrical codes (IEC, NEC, IEEE).
- Ability to coordinate with civil and mechanical teams for seamless execution.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
