Civil Site Engineer – Romania

Responsibilities

· Overseeing day-to-day activities on the construction site.

· Conduct site surveys and soil testing for suitability assessment.

· Review topographical and geotechnical reports for foundation design.

· Oversee site leveling, grading, and drainage implementation.

· Supervise the construction of foundations for solar mounting structures.

· Ensure proper execution of concrete works, pile driving, and ramming.

· Manage installation of cable trenches, access roads, and boundary fencing.

· Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.

· Conduct quality checks on construction materials such as concrete and steel.

· Coordinate with third-party inspectors and government authorities for approvals.

· Manage construction teams and subcontractors for timely project execution.

· Collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams to integrate civil works.

· Monitor project progress, resolve on-site issues, and ensure adherence to timelines.

· Implement safety protocols for excavation, lifting, and construction activities.

· Ensure compliance with environmental regulations for land use and waste management.

· Prepare daily and weekly progress reports for stakeholders.

· Maintain records of materials, inspections, and completed work.

· Provide as-built drawings and documentation for project handover.

· Verifying material orders according to the design prior to the start of construction.

· Communicating with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project progress.

Our requirements

Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

· Minimum 2 years of experience in solar construction projects, preferably in Romania

· Knowledge of foundation design, structural analysis, and site development.

· Familiarity with civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, or SAP2000.

· English at the communicative level, Romanian language will be a plus

Skills & Competencies:

· Strong understanding of geotechnical, concrete, and steel structure works.

· Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

· Experience in project planning, site supervision, and contractor management.

· Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.

· Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
