Civil works have commenced at the Jedwabno BESS site. Acting as the lead EPC contractor, Nomad Electric is delivering one of the country’s most significant energy storage facilities. With the first battery containers already on-site, the project has moved into the main construction phase.
The 150 MW / 300 MWh facility is our third major step in BESS deployment. It follows our 5 MW / 10 MWh storage project integrated into the Tauron Dystrybucja network and another successfully commissioned hybrid power plant (PV + BESS). Our scope in Jedwabno is a comprehensive EPC delivery, including the construction of a 110 kV main substation (GPO), and the high-voltage grid connection.
“After the expansion of PV, utility-scale BESS is the natural next step and a game-changer that will transform how the entire EU power grid operates. At Nomad Electric Group, we are driving this shift by building and managing critical infrastructure from power grids to hybrid plants. We deliver the large-scale capacity that powers the continent’s energy transition,” said Paweł Czaus, Chief Executive Officer at Nomad Electric Group.
