Working for TAURON Dystrybucja SA (Legnica Branch), Nomad Electric has completed the expansion of the Jawor Strefa primary substation (GPZ) with two new 110 kV bays, primary and backup. The project enables the grid connection of an expanding electric motor and battery manufacturing facility for Mercedes-Benz.
The scope delivered by Nomad Electric was full engineering documentation with regulatory approvals, delivery of line fittings and protection systems, telemechanics configuration and integration into master control systems, as well as the complete commissioning of both 110 kV bays.
Expanding high-voltage substation infrastructure for strategic industrial hubs demands high precision, strict adherence to safety standards, and flawless execution to ensure grid reliability. By combining advanced protection automation with seamless control-system integration, our engineering team ensured the smooth tie-in of the new bays into the operator’s grid.
The entire infrastructure was successfully handed over one month ahead of the agreed schedule. We extend our sincere thanks to our engineering team for their outstanding work and to TAURON Dystrybucja SA for their continued trust.
