Nomad Electric in Portugal with first PV plant commissioning and new EPC contract

Nomad Electric has completed the construction and commissioning of its first solar power plant in Portugal with a capacity of 8,4 MWp from the portfolio of installations which totals 45 MWp. The company has also signed a new Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the 24 MWp PV farm.

As a “turnkey” service provider, Nomad Electric constructed the 8,4 MWp solar plant on a tracker structure in Portugal. This installation will generate over 16 GWh of clean energy annually, enough to power nearly 8,000 households. The company also provided its proprietary system SCADA Nomad NX, which features advanced analytics, to ensure a high level of energy production, real-time remote monitoring and efficient plant management. In the coming months, Nomad Electric will complete the construction at other sites in Portugal, as part of a contract for a total installations of 45 MWp.

Nomad Electric has also signed another contract in Portugal for the construction of a 24 MWp power plant. As the EPC provider, the company will be responsible for all aspects of the project, including the necessary procedures, agreements and arrangements with the relevant authorities and electricity system operator to enable the plant to be connected to the distribution network. Nomad Electric will also be responsible for the delivery and implementation of the system SCADA Nomad NX.
