Responsibilities
· Overseeing day-to-day activities on the construction site.
· Conduct on-site quality inspections for civil, electrical, and mechanical works.
· Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
· Review and implement quality control plans (QCP) and inspection test plans (ITP).
· Perform material inspections for concrete, steel, cables, and other project components.
· Supervise testing of foundations, structures, and electrical installations.
· Monitor welding, bolting, and structural assembly for adherence to standards.
· Verify proper installation of solar panels, inverters, and mounting structures.
· Conduct cable insulation resistance tests and continuity checks.
· Ensure proper implementation of earthing and lightning protection systems.
· Identify and document non-conformities, recommending corrective actions.
· Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
· Conduct audits to assess contractor and subcontractor adherence to quality standards.
· Maintain detailed records of inspections, test reports, and quality documentation.
· Assist in commissioning and performance testing of electrical and mechanical systems.
· Ensure compliance with environmental and health & safety (HSE) regulations.
· Provide training to site personnel on quality standards and best practices.
· Prepare daily and weekly quality reports for project stakeholders.
· Reviews and verifies material compliance with project specifications.
· Support final inspections, punch list resolution, and project handover documentation.
Our requirements
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Quality Engineering.
· Min. 2 years of experience in quality assurance/control, preferably in solar or energy projects.
· Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) like ISO 9001.
· Familiarity with quality control tools and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
Skills & Competencies:
· Strong understanding of material testing, inspection, and compliance verification.
· Ability to identify non-conformities and implement corrective/preventive actions.
· Experience in preparing and reviewing quality control plans (QCP) and inspection test plans (ITP).
· Knowledge of HSE regulations and industry best practices.
· Strong documentation, auditing, and reporting skills.
